BRIGHT FUTURES SCHOLARSHIP REMINDER
⚠️Attention - Class of 2025 Parents and Guardians ⚠️
Dear Parents and Guardians of the Class of 2025,
Congratulations once again on your student’s recent graduation! As they prepare for their next steps, we want to remind you of an important deadline that can significantly impact their college funding opportunities.
To be considered for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program, eligible students must complete the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA). The final deadline to submit the FFAA for Bright Futures consideration is August 31, 2025. Students who do not complete an application will forfeit their eligibility for a Bright Futures scholarship.
Even if your student will be attending an out of state college or is undecided about college plans, we strongly encourage them to complete the application now to keep their scholarship options open. Qualifying students who do not use the scholarship immediately following high school graduation may apply within five years of high school graduation to have the award reinstated. This application is free and takes only a few minutes to complete!
To complete the FFAA:
Visit https://www.floridastudentfinancialaidsg.org
Click on “Create a Student Account” under the “First-Time Applicants” section
Follow the prompts to submit the application
Click on this link to access step by step instructions for completing the online application: 2025-26 FFAA Reference Guide.
Other useful information regarding this process can be found at https://www.floridastudentfinancialaidsg.org/PDF/SAPPRFILE/Application_Essentials.pdf.
Missing this application deadline will result in ineligibility for Bright Futures and other state aid programs. If you or your student have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact the school’s guidance department.
