Last week, the Department of Social Studies and World Languages hosted a rotation at Rhodes Elementary's Living History Arts Festival.
Assisting with the art project, Director of Workforce Education, Charlin Knight, and MHS Spanish Club Sponsor, Diane Henehan, taught the students that Florida means "place of flowers" in Spanish. Ashley Corlies, Career Specialist, and Beth Cunningham, TSA for World Languages, engaged students on VR Headsets while exploring the history of Florida's earliest settlement.
MHS Spanish Club members jumped in to help students match Florida facts for the map game, as well as navigate in VR. It was a wonderful learning experience for all! #SRCDS1stChoice
