Head Start / Early Head Start Programs

What is Head Start and Early Head Start
Santa Rosa County Head Start Programs promote school readiness of children from families with relatively small incomes by enhancing their cognitive, social, physical and emotional development.
As a result, selection of children and placement in our programs are NOT on a first come first served basis, rather the waitlist is ranked daily according to eligibility criteria.
Applications for the current school year are excepted throughout the year, and students are selected and placed as vacancies come available based on family need.
