Founded in 1997, Student Transportation of America is an industry leader in safety and fleet services. We operate the youngest fleet in the business with more than 13,500 vehicles, providing customers with the highest level of safe and reliable student transportation, management, logistics and technology solutions throughout North America. Our services are delivered by drivers, dispatchers, maintenance technicians, terminal managers, information technology professionals and others who are caring members of their local communities. We currently partner with more than 300 school districts and our 14,000+ employees provide safe, on-time transportation to our customers while ensuring the workplace satisfaction and happiness of our team members.
STA is aiming to change the culture of school transportation by creating an atmosphere that focuses on caring for the school children who depend on the safety of our buses every day. We pride ourselves on outstanding customer service, and view the school bus as an extension of the classroom, we believe that a student’s first and last class of the day is their ride on the school bus. We always seek to utilize our extensive industry experience in order to offer our customers the best service possible.

Transportation Maintenance
Drivers perform pre-trip inspections daily before taking the buses out on the road. Deficiencies are reported to the shop and repairs are made when the bus is returned (if the problem is not a safety risk). All buses have routine maintenance inspections done every 30 working days. Equipment must meet rigid Department of Transportation as well as Florida Department of Education standards. Florida DOE inspectors conduct safety inspections of the facility periodically.
Seven mechanics are now employed and are bound by strict guidelines for any safety related issue occurring on the route, repairs are done on the road. Mechanics are on duty and respond to the driver when necessary.
