🌞Santa Rosa Spotlight 🌞 This summer, we are shining a light on the incredible things happening in our schools through the Santa Rosa Spotlight series! From rising academic achievement and innovative program offerings, to improved attendance and student engagement, there is a lot to celebrate across our district. Of the Brick and Mortar schools in the district, HNMS had the highest Civics proficient scores in the county at 88%. 📈Additionally, for the Geometry EOC, they had 100% proficient. 💯 Robotics Classes at HNMS designed wind turbines which they created on the 3-D printer and were able to produce electricity! Let's take a look at some success from our Avalon Middle School Knights! The overall student population increased in ELA & Math performance, but more importantly, the Avalon Middle School subgroup of Students with Disabilities increased from 34% (2023/2024) ESSA Index to +40% for 2024-2025. Additionally, between CTE funds and an FPL grant, Avalon teachers have earned over $200,000 to establish and grow programs to build upon successful student futures. Today, we'd like to shine a light on some of our little learners at West Navarre Primary! Across all grade levels, reading and math proficiency increased by an average of 43% from PM1 to PM3 at WNP. We’re incredibly proud of our students and teachers for their hard work and dedication throughout the school year! Let's go, Stars!

From rising academic achievement and innovative program offerings, to improved attendance and student engagement, there is a lot to celebrate across our district. Today, let's take a look at some amazing news from Jay High School! 68% of Jay High School Students made learning gains in either ELA or math during PM3 testing season! This is 218 of 319 students. Additionally, 3 CTE Programs (Building Construction, Culinary, and Agriculture) had a 75% pass rate. A total of 159 students obtained their certification. Way to go, Royals!

Bagdad improved in 7 out of 8 state testing categories, with over a 100 point total increase from 2023-2024 to 2024-2025. ⚠️Important Update - New K-8 Cell Phone Policy ⚠️ Starting July 1, 2025, all K-8 students will follow a new state-mandated policy regarding student cell phone use. UPDATES FOR 2025-2026 ✅ALLOWED - Phones may be brought to school but must remain powered off and stored out of sight during the school day. 🚫NOT PERMITTED DURING SCHOOL HOURS - Phones may not be used during the school day (class, transitions, lunch, recess, in restrooms, etc.) Note: The Code of Student Conduct for 2025-2026 will be updated with this change. This policy is designed to minimize distractions, promote engagement, and support safe environments for all students. If you need to reach your child, you will need to contact the front office. Hobbs Middle School has a huge spotlight on Spotlight on Student Growth! 🎯English Language Arts: All three grade levels showed growth, with higher proficiency in ELA this year than last—a powerful indicator that our literacy focus is paying off. 🎯Civics: We saw a strong boost in Civics scores, reflecting our students’ growing understanding of government, history, and citizenship. 🎯Mathematics: Most grade levels showed improvement in math proficiency, highlighting the success of our instructional shifts and targeted support.
