The cadets of Gulf Breeze High School Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) Detachment FL-932 have earned the Silver Star Community Service with Excellence Award for the 2025–2026 school year!
This prestigious recognition from Headquarters Air Force JROTC places our unit in the top 5% nationwide for community service. Even more impressive, only 4 out of 77 units in Florida received this honor - and this is the first time Gulf Breeze has achieved this distinction!
A special thank you to our outstanding instructors, Lt Col (Ret.) Keith Nelson and MSgt (Ret.) Rafael Garcia, for their mentorship and guidance, and to our supportive community for helping make this achievement possible.

📍 The tour’s inaugural school stop took place at Woodlawn Beach Middle School, where about 250 seventh‑grade civics students explored Florida’s rich history inside traveling mobile museums.
🚛 The Florida Freedom Tour will travel to all 67 counties this summer, bringing Florida’s story directly to students and communities across the state. We’re proud to lead the way!📚
