News Release

Santa Rosa County, FL – July 8, 2025 — Santa Rosa County District Schools proudly announces the district has been rated as an “A” graded district, yet again! Out of the 29 schools that receive a school grade, we have a total of 15  “A” rated schools. 

Additionally, we have 9 “B” rated schools and 5 “C” rated schools. A total of 5 schools increased a letter grade from 2023-2024 to 2024-2025. 

Additional school grade information is below: 

• “A” Rated Schools (15) – Chumuckla Elementary, East Bay K-8, Gulf Breeze Elementary, Gulf Breeze High, Gulf Breeze Middle, Holley Navarre Intermediate, Holley Navarre Middle, Jay Elementary, Navarre High, Oriole Beach Elementary, Pace High, Santa Rosa Online, Thomas L. Sims Middle, Wallace Lake K-8, and Woodlawn Beach Middle. 
• “B” Rated Schools (9) – Avalon Middle, Berryhill Elementary, Central School, Hobbs Middle, Jay High, Martin Luther King Middle, Milton High, S.S. Dixon Intermediate, and West Navarre Intermediate. 
• “C” Rated Schools (5) – Bagdad Elementary, Bennett Russell Elementary, East Milton Elementary, Pea Ridge Elementary, and W.H. Rhodes Elementary. 

The following schools increased a letter grade from 2023-2024 to 2024-2025: 

1. Bagdad Elementary increased from a “D” Grade in 2023-2024 to a “C” Grade in 2024-2025 
2. Jay Elementary increased from a “B” Grade in 2023-2024 to an “A” Grade in 2024-2025 
3. Jay High increased from a “C” Grade in 2023-2024 to a “B” Grade in 2024-2025 
4. Martin Luther King Middle increased from a “C” Grade in 2023-2024 to a “B” Grade in 2024-2025 
5. Pace High increased from a “B” Grade in 2023-2024 to a “A” Grade in 2024-2025 

The district’s mission to love, educate, and prepare every student for graduation and a successful future is evident in these outstanding results. "We are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated team of teachers, administrators, and staff that work tirelessly to fulfill our mission at all of our school sites," Dr. Barber added. "Their pursuit of excellence not only promotes academic achievement but also equips our students for a successful future." We are extremely proud of our assessment results from 2024-2025 and the accomplishments of our students, staff, and families!
