Pre-Approved Absence Requests

We understand that sometimes students need to be away from school for family events, religious observances, or other important commitments. To help us support your student’s learning and minimize disruptions, we ask that all planned absences be submitted for approval in advance.

How to Request a Pre-Approved Absence:

  1. Complete the Pre-Approved Absence Form
    This form is available in the school office and on our website [insert link]. Please provide details including the dates of the absence and the reason for the request.

  2. Submit the Form in Advance
    Forms should be submitted at least five school days before the planned absence whenever possible. This allows teachers to prepare any necessary make-up work in advance.

  3. Administrator Review and Approval
    Once submitted, the request will be reviewed by school administration. You will receive notification of approval status via email or a note sent home with your student.

  4. Make-Up Work Responsibility
    Students are responsible for collecting and completing all missed assignments. It’s recommended they check in with each of their teachers before the absence to stay on track.

Important Notes:

  • Not all absences qualify as pre-approved; approval is based on academic impact, timing, and reason for the absence.

  • Pre-approval does not automatically excuse an absence—it simply allows for consideration and planning in advance.
