Elementary School Clubs

Wallace Lake K-8 offers a variety of exciting clubs that provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, build important skills, and make lasting friendships. From leadership and community service to creativity and robotics, our clubs are designed to engage students in fun, hands-on learning experiences. Each club is a chance for students to grow, lead, and make a positive impact within our school community. 5th Grade Chorus

The 5th Grade Chorus is an exciting opportunity for students to explore their love of music and develop their singing skills in a fun, supportive environment. Open to all 5th grade students, the chorus meets regularly to rehearse a variety of songs, build teamwork, and prepare for performances throughout the school year. No prior experience is needed—just a positive attitude and a passion for singing! Joining chorus is a great way for students to build confidence, make new friends, and shine on stage.

ACES

ACES (Achieving Creative and Exceptional Students) is our school’s Gifted and Talented program designed to challenge and inspire students who exhibit exceptional abilities in academic, creative, and problem-solving areas. ACES students engage in advanced coursework, critical thinking activities, and creative projects that encourage innovation and intellectual growth. Through this program, students develop the skills and confidence to pursue their passions and excel in their educational journey.

Elementary Anchored for Life

Anchored for Life is a peer-led program that helps students build resilience, develop strong character, and support one another through life’s transitions. Trained student leaders, called Crew Members, provide encouragement and resources to classmates experiencing changes such as moving to a new school, family separation, or deployment. Through outreach activities, discussions, and team-building projects, Anchored for Life promotes a culture of compassion, confidence, and connection.

Elementary SGA

Our Elementary SGA gives students a voice in their school community and helps them develop leadership skills from an early age. Student representatives work together to plan school spirit events, support community service projects, and encourage a positive school culture. SGA members learn the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and civic engagement while having fun and making a difference.

Elementary SSYRA Book Club

The SSYRA (Sunshine State Young Readers Award) Book Club celebrates a love of reading through this exciting program! Students read and discuss selected titles from the SSYRA list, participate in fun literacy activities, and connect with classmates over great books. The club fosters a lifelong love of reading while encouraging critical thinking, discussion, and creativity.

Junior HOPE Squad

The Junior Hope Squad is a peer-support program focused on promoting kindness, empathy, and mental wellness. Selected students are trained to recognize when classmates may need a friend or support and to help connect them with trusted adults. Through team-building activities and school-wide kindness initiatives, Hope Squad members help create a caring and inclusive environment for all.

Pup Robotics

Pup Robotics introduces students to the exciting world of STEM through hands-on learning and teamwork. Members learn the basics of building and programming robots, solving challenges, and thinking like engineers. This club encourages creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration—all while having fun exploring new technologies!

Safety Patrol

Our Safety Patrol team is made up of responsible student leaders who help keep our school safe and orderly. Patrollers assist with morning and afternoon routines, model respectful behavior, and serve as positive role models for their peers. Being part of Safety Patrol teaches responsibility, leadership, and the importance of community service.
