Soundside High School – Home of the Hurricanes
In September, district leadership and school board members had the pleasure of touring Soundside High School, our brand-new state-of-the-art facility opening in Fall 2026! Joining us on the tour was the school’s first principal, Mrs. Kasie Windfelder, who will officially step into her role in January 2026.
A few fun facts about Soundside High:
249,000 square feet of conditioned space
24,000 feet of flooring (that’s about 5 miles!)
Nearly 40 acres of property
The football field has astroturf playing surface
This will be the first 3-story school in Santa Rosa County District Schools
