Principal's Message

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Pace High School website. I hope this website becomes a valuable source of school news and timely information for parents, students, and visitors. This website was developed to enable everyone to become familiar with our school, its policies, and procedures, and to provide you with school news, academic opportunities, schedules, and events.

Our extensive menu of extracurricular activities, bot academic and recreational, is unsurpassed. Our entire staff is committed to a school environment that allows our students to flourish and grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Our website will be updated regularly to provide visitors with notices, bulletins, and other news on a variety of subjects.

Again, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our school website and for the support that you give to Pace High School. We are proud of our school and the programs we offer. The administration, faculty, and staff are here to assist you in making your Pace High School experience incredibly positive and successful.

Jared Allen - Discipline

Mr. Allen joined Pace High School in January 2025 as Assistant Principal over Student Services. With over 15 years in education, he has served as a teacher, coach, dean, and administrator, bringing a broad range of experience to his role. Before coming to Pace, he worked at Walton High, Walton Middle, Pensacola Catholic, Santa Fe High, and Navarre High. His background in teaching and coaching gives him a strong understanding of student engagement and development.

Mr. Allen is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive environment that supports academic and personal growth. He earned his master’s in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education in 2018 and is excited to work with the school community to support student success.

Outside of school, Mr. Allen enjoys woodworking, grilling, and real estate. He lives in Pace with his wife, Christa, and their four children: Melanie, Landon, Kyson, and Jax.

Amie Filbert - Guidance

Mrs. Filbert began her teaching career in 2010 as a P.E. teacher at Hobbs Middle and coach at Pace High School. She later moved to Sims Middle in 2013 while continuing to coach. During her teaching years, she was named Rookie and Teacher of the Year.

In 2017, she became Dean of Students at Sims and earned her master’s in Educational Leadership from UWF. She served as an intern at Santa Rosa Blended Academy and Pace High before becoming assistant principal at Pace in 2021.

She’s passionate about supporting students and helping them overcome challenges to reach their goals. Married to fellow educator Brad, they have three children and enjoy family time and school activities.

Brian Howell - Assistant Principle

Brian Howell - Facilities

Brian Howell joined Pace High School in March 2023 and currently oversees buildings, maintenance, campus grounds, and safety. With over 25 years in education, he has served in various roles, including teacher and coach in South Carolina, teacher and coach at Tate High School for 10 years, Dean of Students and Head Baseball Coach at Milton High School for 4 years, and Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at Navarre High School for 13 years. While serving as Assistant Principal at Navarre, he was honored as High School AP of the Year in 2015-16 by his peers.

Mr. Howell has a strong passion for athletics, having coached in South Carolina and locally at Tate, Milton, and Navarre in roles such as head baseball coach, assistant football and baseball coach, and head golf coach. He is excited to bring his experience and fresh ideas to enhance Pace High’s infrastructure and is committed to supporting the students and staff.

Mr. Howell and his wife, Wendy, enjoy traveling—especially cruises—light exercise, and spending time with their two adult children.

Jolie Hullet Assistant Principle

Jolie Hullett

Mrs. Hullett began her career in 2000 as a teacher at Woodlawn Beach Middle School and cheer coach at Navarre High School. She has since taught at several schools across the district and was recognized as Rookie of the Year, Career Academy Teacher of the Year, and Locklin’s Teacher of the Year.

She earned her master’s in Educational Leadership from UWF in 2005 and her Director of Career and Technical Education credential from UCF in 2022. After moving into administration in 2018, she became assistant principal at Santa Rosa Online in 2023 and joined Pace High School in the same role in 2024.

Mrs. Hullett is passionate about helping students find their individual paths after high school. She and her husband, Hank, have twin sons and enjoy family time and supporting their boys' activities.
