This is Brandon Koger, principal of Hobbs Middle School, with an exciting and important update for our Algebra students and their families!
Mark your calendars—our Algebra students will take the Algebra EOC on Friday, May 8th. To help every student feel confident and prepared, we're hosting a Algebra EOC Bootcamp—and it's going to be awesome!
Over two focused and fun afternoons, students will work through experiences that dive into the key topics covered on the state test. They'll review important standards, sharpen their skills, and learn smart test-taking strategies to help them shine.
We will also be hosting a Parent Night on Monday, April 27th, to help guide families on how to support their students in preparing for the upcoming test. We'll provide valuable information about the test and share effective strategies for preparation.
Here’s the schedule:
• Monday, April 27th – Bootcamp & Family Night (students need a ride home at 5:30 PM)
• Tuesday, April 28th – Bootcamp continues (students need a ride home at 5:00 PM)
If your student plans to attend, please return the attached permission slip by Wednesday, April 22nd.
Last year’s bootcamp led to a noticeable boost in our scores—and we know it can make a difference again. Let’s work together to set our Jaguars up for success. We’d love to see your student there!
Go Jaguars!
—Mr. Koger
