Our Administrators

Brandon Koger

Brandon Koger, Principal

Hello!  My name is Brandon Koger, and I am the principal of Hobbs Middle School.  I have served Hobbs Middle as principal since December 2017.  Before that, I was an assistant principal, dean of students, and math and science teacher at two other middle schools in Santa Rosa County.  I have my undergraduate degree from The University of West Florida in Middle Grades Math and General Science (a teaching degree).  I also have a master’s degree from Florida State University in Math Education and a master’s degree from the University of West Florida in Educational Leadership.

I am proud to lead Hobbs Middle School!  Outside of my own family (Ashley, William, Stella, Cole, and my dog Alvin!), your children are my most important priority.

As principal, one of my primary responsibilities is to set values for our school.  At Hobbs, I value positivity, professionalism, polish, and passion.  I lead through these values, and I hope to model them each day for your students and you.

I also believe in customer service, communication, and collaboration.  Through those things, I feel we can accomplish all.

Finally, we can get there from here, through the following six teaching principles: WICOR (writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading), Standards Based Instruction, Rigorous Assessments, Communication, Collaboration, and Professional Development.

Hobbs Middle School is nowhere but here for me, because of our students, staff, and families.  I could not be happier with or prouder of the work we all do together at Hobbs, and it is my hope you feel the same.

If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me.  You may e-mail me directly at Email Brandon Koger.  You may also call me at 850-983-5630 ext 1046. In service together, Mr. Koger.  😊

Prior to my years as an administrator, I taught math at Pine Forest High School, Woodham Middle School, and Hobbs Middle School. I then transitioned to the SAIL program in Santa Rosa County where I taught the middle school behavior unit (all 3 grade levels) and then transitioned to Woodlawn Middle School where I served as Dean of Students.

I am a product of Santa Rosa County having attending TR. Jackson Elementary, Berryhill Elementary, Hobbs Middle School and Milton High School. I have been a proud student at Pensacola Junior College, Troy University and University of West Florida. I currently hold a general associate’s degree from PJC, a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Troy University and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and another master’s degree in Educational Leadership, both from the University of West Florida.

Hobbs is home for me. I attended Hobbs as a student, as a teacher and now as an administrator. I love our school, our community, and our culture. I am here to help you, our students, and their families in any way possible. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at Email Jennifer Gardner. You may also reach me at 850-983-5630 ext. 1086.
