I met Packy the summer before I began my dream job of becoming an elementary school librarian!  He was hanging out at Barnes and Noble with some other Folkmanis puppets.  When I saw him with his little pack on his back, I knew he was going to be part of my story time in my library.   He reminded me of Templeton from Charolette's Web, which was read to me by my second-grade teacher here at EME Mrs. Carolyn Butler!  Packy collects poems that he keeps in his backpack for me to read to students when they visit our story time castle!
